Expect the unexpected...

Many of you know Casper & Bijou’s puppies were due today and Bijou delivered her first litter right on time, as “expected”. Four beautiful puppies, two of which are stunning “ee” creams. What we’re really excited about though, is that Bijou is our first shaded cream soft-wirehaired and hopefully some or all of her litter will be soft-wires too! It will take a few weeks to determine their coat type, so stay tuned.

What wasn’t “expected”, was Willy & Nola’s litter being born on the same day... Nola’s due date was 12/22/11. Nola surprised us with two healthy puppies and based on their birth weights she must have decided she just couldn’t carry them for four more days.

Needless to say, it was a very long, busy and happy day!

First, congratulations to “Sniffntells Wroyal Casper” and “Bell’s Bijou of Dachshund Hall” on their first litter! They are the proud parents of four gorgeous puppies - one female and three males - all of which could be soft-wirehaired. You can see Bijou’s litter in “Dachshund Hall - Litter #2”.

Here’s what Casper & Bijou had. The time of birth, colors, sexes and weights are as follows:

8:20 a.m. - Shaded Cream - Female - 6.3 oz.
8:51 a.m. - Shaded Cream - Male - 6.0 oz.
10:02 a.m. - “ee” Cream - Male - 7.1 oz.
10:30 a.m. - “ee” Cream - Male - 6.7 oz.

Second, congratulations to “Hall’s Don’t Touch My Willy” and “Hall’s Southern Nola Masquerade” on their litter! They are the proud parents of two healthy puppies - one female and one male. You can see Nola’s litter in “Dachshund Hall - Litter #3”.

Here’s what Willy & Nola had. The time of birth, colors, sexes and weights are as follows:

10:17 p.m. - Chocolate & Tan - Female - 9.2 oz.
11:15 p.m. - Shaded Red - Male - 8.8 oz.

Following a phone call the evening of August 2nd from the AKC Inspector, we had our first AKC Compliance Inspection the morning of August 3rd. We are very proud to report that Dachshund Hall is 100% in compliance with AKC Rules and Regulations! On top of that, we were awarded the “Gold Seal Certificate of Inspection” which only about 20% of breeders ever receive. The best place around to "Get a long little doggie!"
